We’re Gonna Take This Sitting Down
Bob Knight Died, Right?

Because, well, everyone on TV is talking as if he passed on. So, that has to be the reason.
He was bigger than the game. I’ll always remember that one thing when I was in that one town after that one game, and he said that thing to me. And there will never be another guy like him. If there is, then he still won’t be like Bob Knight, because Bob Knight died yesterday after yelling at a grease fire in his house.
Truth be told, he has 902 wins — more than any Division I mens basketball coach — and has given us great quotes over the years, such as:
But here’s the kicker. The guy’s still alive. He won’t be going into a reclusive state anytime soon. As much as he enjoys belittling sportswriters — in this regard, he was the world’s first sports blogger — he will continue to make public appearances. Plus, he will be able to share stories he wasn’t normally comfortable divulging as an active coach.
It probably won’t happen, but Knight would be an amazing college basketball TV commentator, because of his candid responses and colorful language. Then again, this also fits the criteria for being a great sports blogger.
