It’s Bluer, But Equally Slanty

maclogos.jpgI don’t know any other conference that can take the letter “M” and purposely get a descender out of it, but that’s the Mid-American Conference for ya. Or, rather was the MAC. Now they’ve straightened out their letters and put them in equilateral yet italic pigeonholes, as you can clearly see.

Yes, it’s a new MAC logo, unveiled this weekend.

Like Shaggy said, it’s kind of got a Hartford Whalers kick to the scheme, what with the blue and green and the hey hey hey we’re encapsulated in a white outline. Frankly I’m not sure why they ditched their signature ’80s logo, but there’s a reason they’re the ones in the offices doing smart things like adding Temple to the conference, and I’m here sitting in the futon playing addictive Flash games and wondering when my string cheese supply will run out. I’m pretty sure the folks at the MAC have the high scores on Desktop Tower Defense…

“I need more towers! Towers to protect my temple…. Temple! That’s it!”
